Charities - Supporting our Common Home & Global Family
At St. Mary Magdalene we support a range of charities and organisations, both locally and world-wide, in various ways through fundraising, food donations, or holding special days and events.
Through this work, linked to our Gospel Values, School Values, Mission Statement and as a Rights Respecting School, we encourage all members of our community to think about and support both our Common Home and Global Family.
Making a Difference
At St. Mary Magdalene, we encourage pupils to see charity as an expression of faith in action.
Through fundraising, campaigning and acts of service, pupils learn that they can respond to the Gospel call to care for others and work for the common good.
The Impact of Our Charitable Work
Our charitable work helps pupils to:
- understand the dignity of every person;
- grow in compassion and service;
- recognise the importance of solidarity;
- develop confidence in taking action to support others;
- understand how faith can transform communities.
